Seatlle lodging on the cheap?

I am heading to Seattle next month for a conference and am partially responsible for my lodging. Two years ago, my company sent me to the same conference and set me up at the conference hotel (Westin on 5th). Id like to be somewhere (ANYWHERE) near there.. does anyone have any suggestions for lodging under 125/night?

Thanks,
kit

I know the Sixth Avenue Inn has gotten mixed reviews here but the rooms look fine for the price (which should be in the 115-125 range) and I've had people stay there before without complaint. Another possibility is the Pacific Plaza Hotel--older, nothing fancy, but well-located and clean. If you don't mind a shared bath in order to save $$, then try the Pensione Nichols (right at the Market) or the Ace Hotel in Belltown. You might try calling the Visitor's Bureau Hotel Hotline, (800) 535-7071, for some other ideas in your price range, which unfortunately is on the low side for downtown Seattle in the summer months...

I stayed at the Sixth Ave. Inn for a confrence in May, and thought it was fine. It's about 5 blocks to the Convention Center and about the same to Pike Place Market. Nothing fancy, but adequate and clean.

I stay in Seattle on business at least one day every week, and lately have been booking my rooms through Priceline.com. I've managed to get some amazing deals. I got a deluxe view room on the 34th floor of the Westin for $80, I've stayed at the West Coast Vance (one of my favourite little boutique hotels), for $70. If you've never tried it, it's really worth checking out. Start your bids really low, and then just bring up your price in $5-$10 increments. Good luck.

Just got back from Seattle. I was traveling on a strict budget and stayed at a dive near the Westin and the Market called the Moore Hotel on 2nd Ave. for $60+tax per night (for 2 people). It was clean and had a private bath. Not much more good I can say about it. Go late in the day and negotiate a better price after seeing the room. Or better yet, if your company is paying, get something nicer
