You must take action BEFORE you start to feel sick. Once it starts, it's too late. My sister can get sick in a car and she always takes Bonine when we go on a cruise. She starts taking it two days in advance and them just takes it before she goes to bed. That way, if any drowsiness occurs, it's a good thing because it helps her sleep.

Fairygemgirl,

I too have had that dizziness following a cruise for a few weeks after...sitting on the john, I felt like I was still on the ship..would seem to intensify in smaller rooms like bathrooms, elevators, etc...indeed, just an equilibrium adjustment...tell your doc so he/she will know next time and then send him a bill!

Was on a cruise in Jan w/ 26 people. Waters were a bit rough...we all had on the sea bands and they really worked. 2 of the people are VERY prone to sea/air/car sickness and felt they helped.

Comment about the "patch". I out it on when I started feeling a bit out of sorts. For me, it made it worse.
If you wear it, read the long fine print of side effects before you put it on. If you notice any of them happening to you remove the patch.
I found that it really messed with my eye sight, especially the eye on the side the
patch was on. I could not read or see clearly until I removed it and than it took about a day to go away.
I walked around with one eye closed for a bit.

I sweat by the bands.......but..if you are having any nice portrait pictures taken on the cruise, take them off for the picture. All of ours have me all dressed up and looking fancy wearing these ugly gray bands

Nannymer and GoTravel - But how did you make it stop? It lasted for almost a month and once was so bad I couldn't drive. I knew it was my equilibrium but didn't know why or how to get back to normal.
