Saw "Jersey Boys" -- lots of fun

Caught "Jersey Boys" on Broadway last week. It's a lot of fun if you're into the music of that era. Also, if you're considering going, don't be put off by the availability of distant seats. The August Wilson theater is cozy, and there are no bad seats.

I totally agree. This is one of the best Broadway musicals I've seen over 40 years!

First time, we had obstructed view seats in the balcony (anything to see this show!) and forgot. Next time we had center orchestra seats. Don't worry about obstructed views - just the top of a video screen.

The music, of course, is magnificent. And, the four part harmonies are superb, along with the all the performances.

I don't think you have to be a fan of music of that era. It was a little before my time, and I had no idea how many hits of my "youth" were Four Seasons.

We keep the soundtrack in the car for road trips.

And, be sure to check the national tour schedule. It may be coming to a city near you.

Ditto - Saw Jersey Boys in LasVegas a couple of weeks ago - LOVED IT! (Over the years, I've seen alot of shows, both in NYC and other cities). This one is one of my favorites. I would love to see it again.

Dbl ditto.
Saw it in SF and in Sacto and I'd see it again in a heartbeat.

iTunes made a lotta money off of us after those shows.

We're thinking of seeing Jersey Boys in Vegas in August. Do we need to get the most expensive seats to enjoy the show? Thanks.

I'd say no.

We had some 'bleeds in SF and the sound was still great and you could still see them and the sets.

I can't imagine a bad seat in Vegas!

As long as the sound system is good you'll be rockin'.

Save you $$$ for the buffets!

Here's what I've read/heard about Jersey Boys in Las Vegas. There are no bad seats. It's worth the extra to sit in the rear orchestra rather than "looking down". There are huge speakers on either side of the stage - avoid seats in that area. Bring concert binoculars if you have them. (Unless you're sitting way up front, you can't really see the expressions on faces, and the acting is terrific.)

We saw Jersey Boys in Cleveland and it is just terrific! We had orchastra seats but were not close enough to the stage. If I had it to do over, I would make sure our seats were closer so as to see their faces.

Regarding Vegas - You don't need to get the most expensive seats; the theater is small. I think that rear, center orchestra is perfect. I don't like balcony seats at all, as I don't like to "look down" at a show. If you are going in August, you can probably get good seats at the second price level. I would recommend to call the ticket office rather than get the tickets online. When I looked online, it would only show me choices off to the side and too close (at the second price level), but when I called the ticket office they had seats right in the beginning of where the second level pricing started - rear orchestra, center. These were perfect for the show and the sound.

I saw it in Vegas--WONDERFUL.

However, avoid those righ and lefthand side seats in the first few rows...The speakers are very loud.

Great show

Don't get much better:

"Pardon the way that I stare,
there's nothing else to compare

The sight of you leaves me weak
there are no words left to speak

But if you feel like I feel,
please let me know that it's real

You're just too good to be true,
can't take my eyes off of you "
