Santa Monica, CA
My daughter and 3 college friends are planning a trip to Santa Monica in January. They are looking for an inexpensive hotel to stay at. Any recommendations for college girls not wanting to spend tons of money.

I'll appreciate any advice.

If it can be a motel, maybe the Sea Shore Motel. It's pretty cheap and not disgusting.

There's youth hostel in Santa Monica that's supposed to be pretty nice.

It seems to offer a free breakfast and free internet connection. Room rates also are extremely reasonable. Four girls cold probabaly get a room to themselves with attached bathroom.

HI is very reliable and very safe.

Does not have to be Santa Monica. They are coming from airport and want to do tourist things such as Hollywood, beaches, etc....
