Ah, there it is, the "Events" tab has the info.
EVENTS | Taos Pueblo

The calendar shows the Pueblo "Closed" in March and April.

We go to Chimayo once or twice a year. Once you get out of town, it’s a pretty drive up there. Rancho De Chimayo is one of our favorite places to dine. You can continue up the high road toward Taos, but you have indicated some hesitancy in driving.

The Nambe Trading Post is on the way there. They have some interesting items including clothing used in Dances with Wolves. I believe the owner is the designer of all the clothing used in the film and other movies

Ortega’s Weaving.

El Santuario

The drive toward Taos around Truchas and above is very pretty, but please watch the road. I believe Truchas is where the Milagro Beanfield War was filmed.

There are some colorful cemeteries in the area in terms of the artwork around the grounds. May not be your thing.

There are several little art shops outside of Chimayo dotted up the road. We’ve only stopped in one or two.

We stopped in the Santuario on our way to Taos. It’s a sacred place for the believers in its miraculous, healing soil. You are free to take scoops of the dirt. A really authentic, lovely little church. Mass was being said when we arrived.

We also stopped in the Ortega’s shop, and observed him weaving. My friend bought a beautiful woven wool vest. Chimayo is a quick stop, right on the high road. Beautiful drive in open country for much of the way there. We were lucky with gorgeous blue skies for our driving day.
