Brophy Brothers is a great place for lunch in the working harbor. Good seafood and view with people from all walks of life. They do not take reservations and get crowded particularly on the weekends.
Tooties in Monticeto is a fun place for lunch or breakfast. Shopping along Coast Village Rd afterwards.
Cava is also a restaurant on that street.
Shopping on State St. There some Antique shops along Bath.
Sunday along the beach there are a ton of vendors, artist and other crafts.
Wine tasting just North about 30 minutes in and around Los Olivos. Opulent Sunday brunch at the Four Seasons Biltmore. Beautiful hotel in Monticeto.
These place are all within 10 to 30 minutes of the central part of Santa Barbara.
Spending a day in Ojai which is nearby.
Antiquing in Summerland.
Some of the hotels have spas if your into that.

La Super Rica Taco Stand. Can't wait to go back this June---it's a shrine for us on a drive south. Don't miss the pretty mission. Drive up to Olivos, Ballard and the Santa Inez Valley to taste some of the best wine in California (no kidding!). Solvang is an old Danish settlement--a bit touristy but still fun and won't be too crowded in April. In Buellton there is a restaurant named the Hitching Post that has THE BEST barbeque and steaks. They also make their own very good wine and have a tasting room. Have fun. It's a great area to relax.

Drive over the hill to the Santa Ynez valley and visit some vineyards. It's a lovely area, and the wineries are mostly small and intimate. It's enjoyable even when the weather isn't perfect. the last time I went was in February, and it was raining off and on, but I have wonderful memories and photos of the countryside when the clouds would break open!
