Santa Barbara Hotel Recomendation with young teens
Hello Fodorites,
Can anyone advise a really nice hotel in Santa Barbara, ideally on the ocean. Traveling with two children ages 15 and 16. Could do one large room/studio or connecting rooms. In terms of budget I would say probably not more than about 700 a night or so for each room or more is okay if it's a studio that can be shared. I assume Santa Barbara is fairly expensive in terms of hotels? Any advice would be appreciated. I'm helping a friend plan a trip for his family and I don't know much about SB.
Thanks all.

It's expensive, yes and there are few hotels right on the ocean though several more are across the street from the ocean. The Biltmore in Montecito Village, just south of Santa Barbara, is probably the nicest place that's oceanfront.

Not sure if you’ve already booked, but we often stay the the West Beach Inn. It’s on the ocean, opposite the marina and a few blocks west of State Street. They have connecting rooms, nice pool, walking distance to the Funk Zone.
