Just wondering what options we have for accomodations on San Juan Island... we're a family of 5 and I don't really want to stay at a B&B. Thanks for any help!

There are tons of rental houses-you're finding they're already booked up? There are many places to look for these besides sites like vrbo-the San Juan tourism/chamber sites have links, and many rentals are available through the real estate offices like Windermere. Then there are also the resorts that have some homes for rent as well as more standard accomodation. I've found some great rentals on Orcas Island just by googling.

Thanks, I finally heard back from a rental that's available, and it looks very nice. Hopefully there won't be any hidden charges in the contract- I've never done a rental before, but I know that they may charge a cleaning fee.
