Can't advise reriving, but my father flew out of Oakland to Y-stone, maybe you want to drive to Yo-semite and back, then fly to Y-stone?

I didn't even know it would be an emoticon! My apologies! Should've been "driving"

It's about 950 miles. It's a lot of driving in two days, but doable I would say.

You can definitely do this in 2 weeks. We live near SF and are considering a similar road trip - minus the Yosemite part.

You will have a couple long days of driving between Yosemite and Yellowstone. I have been across Nevada a couple times and there isn't a lot to see there anyway. Elko is a good overnight spot. From there you can go north into Idaho and then west to Wyoming. This part of the drive may or may not be too far for one day, depending on your travel preferences, so you may want to break it up with an additional overnight.
