San Francisco Weekend

What restaurants do you recommend for a professional couple planning on a romantic weekend in SF. Both lunch and dinner suggestions will be appreciated.

Also, what tours, museums, stores, etc. are must sees?

For lunch, try the dim sum restaurant Yank Sing. It was the best meal of our romantic weekend celebrating our 25th anniversary... and that included dinner at Masa's and dinner at Fluer de Ley.

Strongly suggest you purchase Zagat's for SF - lists the best and most reliable restaurants. You can't go wrong with Zuni Cafe and Greens. also, get a good guidebook for SF - see the Japanese Garden in Golden Gate Park - ride the trolley cars - boat to Sausolito - plan to walk a lot. Much to do and see. Get that book and take it with you. Have fun in a great city.

Beau: The Garden Court at the Sheraton Palace Hotel on Market Street is a great place for lunch or dinner. Decor and stained glass roof are amazing. Another great place is Fior d'Italia in North Beach across from Washington Square. We also liked Roxanne Cafe at the corner of Bush and Powell streets; have a glass of wine and watch the cable cars. Also try McCormick & Kuleto's at Ghirardelli Square.

Another good choice is Rose Pistola, on Columbus Street. Though parking is always a problem, the food is really good and fairly cheap. Baker Street Bistro is also an idea for good food, at a reasonable price. It's at 2953 Baker Street.
