I have 6 days in San Francisco. I booked 4 nights in the city and want to book 2 nights in Napa.
I'm thinking that 2 nights is not enough.
Do you think I should do 3 days in SF and 3 in Napa. I'm interested in both, but need more relaxation then partying. Is there enough to do in Napa/Sonoma to fill 3 days?
Also can you recommend a nice hotel in Napa or one of it's surrounding areas for under $150.

There is so much more than just wine tasting and fine dining (although we did alot of that!).

It all depends...if you prefer the quiet countryside vs. the excitement of the city. Me personally, unless you're a wine enthusiast, two days is plenty for the wine country. Otherwise, the wineries all start looking the same. But hey, this is just my humble opinion. If you're really into wines, 2-days is definitely not enough time.

Having lived in the bay area while I was growing up, and now heading back there for a vacation, I'd say 3 nites in SF and 2 nites in Napa. We're doing 3 nites in Napa & 2 in Pt. Reyes, which is a nat'l park/seashore. But the 3rd nite in Napa was just b/c we didn't want to stay too long w/ family! 2 would really be enough, I think.

If you go to the wine country, be sure to take one of the glider rides!!! Amazing views and something you'll remember for a long time!

I live in the SF Bay area. To choose one over the other depends on what you like to do. To me one day in the Napa Valley is plenty. I am not into wineries so just went to enjoy the scenery. It is nice but there are other close by areas that are a lot nicer if scenery is your bag. San Francisco is a great city. If you enjoy cities, great restaurants, culture, etc. then 4 days is not enough in San Francisco. There are also other areas to visit such as Marin county which you pass through on your way to Napa. Just take some time to get off the beaten path and visit Suasalito, Tiburon, Mill Valley, etc.
