Hey vbella,
Thanks for your comments, we very badly wanted to go to Muir woods also but our buddy that took us over to Sausalito ended up having to leave earlier than planned unfortunately. He was going to be our mode of transportation. Will have to save that for next time.

Hi Attila,
I'm glad you had a good time, thanks for the details! The York really is in a good location - perfect for those who want to be close to, but not right in, the center of everything.

Come back and take a long walk through the redwoods.

Cheers,
dovima

Hi mms! I love it and for sure you win the prize LOL. I really can zip around SF (one of my SIL's accussed me one time of trying to give him heart failure) but you out do me for sure.

I love to walk everywhere in SF too mms. The only time I hail a taxi is when I am with someone that looks like they truly are ready for total collapse.

atilla, I hope that it is easy for you to travel to SF so that you can come back for another visit soon. I think SF is like Italy, it can be come addictive! Take good care.

I volunteer to time you with a stopwatch. At the start. Put Kal to monitor your finish!

Faina--That would have to put Kal at the Buena Vista Cafe waiting for us right?

Right. And you will recognize him by a large wine bottle and flowers to greet you

Hi mms and Faina (and Kal!). I do wish we would have a GTG in SF. And I mean IN SF! What fun that would be.
Lets set something up this year.

Hello Faina, and mms. Lets do plan something in SF this year. That would be fun. We can get our heads together and figure out a good time for everyone and where to meet etc.

Alberta, Canada. When I left here we still had 2 feet of snow on the ground. It was wonderful to be somewhere for a few days with green grass and flowers!

Hi mms, September or October is the most beautiful months for SF. So that will work out. And attila, hopefully you can join us plus others that live around SF. We have months to plan this.
