San Francisco - Touchstone Hotel

Does anyone know anything about this hotel in San Francisco? I think it is a small, family-owned hotel. Is it nice? How is the location? Any information you could give me would be much appreciated!

Huh! The website says "formerly David's".

Dunno about hotel, but this is a prime area! Union square, theaters, transportation, shopping, restaurants - you name, it's there!

Did you get a good price? If yes, I would jump on it!!

There is something about the "World's Famous David's Deli" being next door -- that may even be where you eat breakfast, which is part of the room deal. I can't really tell. I don't have a lot of information other than the website. That's why I was wondering if anyone knew specifics about it or had been there. Good to know it's a good location though.

OK, I should have looked at tripadvisor.com before even asking this question. I just did, and I don't think we will be staying here even though the room was going to be FREE! (We just had to pay airfare from Georgia.) I have never seen such horrible reviews -- people comparing it to being in jail, checking out early, paying extra airfare just to go home so they don't have to stay there any more! Yikes!!

Hi scubalinda, yes per the TA comments I would skip it too lol. Not an area I would stay anyway. I had never heard of this hotel. It sounds like what we use to call a fleebag hotel, lol. Hope you can take a trip to SF at some point. Best regards.
