I am trying to decide on a hotel in downtown San Francisco for a weekend away with my husband. Any feedback on the above two hotels? Thank you for your help!

have stayed at the Nikko (club floor) and thought it was a really wonderful hotel...room was nice, spacious, bathroom quite large, all very clean and in good condition. Exceptionally gracious service. I would venture to say it is a higher quality hotel than the donatello...

I totally agree. Nikko is much better than Donatello.

I stayed at the Nikko too. Can't comment on the other choice but really liked the hotel. Contemporary style furniture, good location.

I'm wear a Hotel Nikko shirt right now. I stayed there 11 years ago. It was nice then. Good location. NO idea now.
