San Francisco Hotels

Is anyone familiar with Hotel Drisco in San Francisco? What do you think? I am traveling with my 15 year old daughter. Thanks

All I know is that it is in Pacific Heights, which is a residential area not a tourist/sightseeing area.

Melanie Griffith did a movie called "Pacific Heights" that was shot there, might be fun to watch before you go.

Although I have not stayed there, it is in a very posh neighborhood in SF. You can't go wrong with the location.

San Francisco Magazine just came out with their "best of the bay" and they gave a VERY favorable review of the Drico (I can't remember what catergory it won for).

This is a very nice hotel in an extremely safe area...If this was your first trip to SF,and your 15 year old would be going out on her own some of the time, I would think that you wouldn't want to stay in such a quiet area, you will be a good hike or taxi ride to the main things to do here.
