P_M,

Glad to hear it. If we keep it up maybe we will have the whole place to ourselves.

Yes I think this may be the biggest GTG ever. Certainly the biggest I have been to in SF! How exciting.

We just got back from a 3 week vacation (Paris) - so I'm catching up.

Hunan Restaurant
Friday the 24th
6:30

Is this the plan?

I think this is the same restaurant that used to be on Kearny in the 70s, and has the hottest food I've ever tasted. We used to go there for lunch & order the Harvest Pork & a beer. I never drank the beer - just hung my lips in it to cool off the inside of my mouth. Once I took an out-of-towner there & his entire head broke out in a massive sweat - but he loved the food.

My wife will be in Indianapolis visiting her father then - so I'll be there by myself.

See ya Friday

Stu-Glad you are coming. We had just about convinced all those that don't like spicy that there are some dishes that were mild. Hope you didn't scare them all away!! We will have some people just eating rice and drinking wine. But it's all about the company.

Stu, maybe you missed the "hot food" discussion, but thereyet has assured us that it isn't a problem there. If he is wrong -- we are holding him down and pouring hot pepper sauce full strength into his mouth!

As I recall (from over 30 years ago), there were many "mild" choices on the menu - you just had to know which ones they were. Back then, I'm not sure they were "noted" on the menu.

Most Asian restaurants can adjust the "hotness" of the dish - except if they are preparing the same dish in the wok for 6 people, this adjustment may be hard to control.

I always look for a small red pepper in the food, and I'll remove it just to make sure I don't bite into fire.

Damn Stu! Trying to get me in trouble again. There are TONS of regular dishes on the menu and of course the spicy ones are well marked and for sure you can request whatever heat you want......:-"

I am not , but reading your description is making me hungry.

Nothing to worry about, I promise.

Ok please don't hate me for this you guys, but I have to cancel for the GTG.

But I have a really good reason. And it is travel related. I am going to London to see the Chargers play the Saints at Wembley Stadium. Best of all, it's FREE!!!

My best friend since we were kids, won a raffle of a package for two that includes air, hotel and game tickets. And he invited me as his guest!!

I was looking forward to meeting all of you, but how can I turn down 4 free nights in London (a city I have never been too)?

I know all of you will still have a great time even without me there. So please, somebody be sure to take pictures and post them here.

Again, I am sorry to cancel.

And in that you have not yet been to London..fantastic! You take lots of photos to share with us too dear one. Wishing you a fun time and of course it will be I am sure. We will see you when you do your driving tour of the US, yes?

LoveItaly - Yes you will see me during the driving tour.

As for my friend Mike. He is like the brother I never had. We have known each other since the age of 12. I was his best man and I am Godfather to his 3 children.

So I will take plenty of pictures of London and post them here.

No. This is unnacceptable.

The only way you are allowed to cancel is if you get all of us a free 4-night stay in London.

I mean fair's fair.

Tom, that's too bad for us!

Meanwhile, is that Ritz Jr. Suite prepaid? Did you need someone to take it over for you?

That's exciting news Tom, I'm sure you will enjoy your trip.

Paula and Patrick, (or anyone else) are you still up for the boat ride Friday afternoon? I'm still going, and if you want to join me, please let me know what time works for you.
