Lots of excellent ethnic restaurants on Valencia St between 16th and 24th St; forgot parking there.

Ferry Plaza farmers mkt is an excellent idea; a restaurant near there (Plant) has a tasty brunch.

For beautiful views, lunch at Green's in Fort Mason (too expensive for dinner).

For more of a splurge, I highly recommend Saha in Carlton Hotel.

Burma Superstar is absolutely delicious and fun, but plan on a long wait.

If you are visiting MOMA or Yerba Buena Gardens, try Samovar Tea Lounge. Not the cheapest but enough choices that you can make a meal for
