Is there a restaurant call the "Crab House" on Pier 39? If not, where can I have fresh crab? I am taking my mom and she loves crab. Thanks!

Scomas is about location, not food. It is mediocre at best. Better than Red Lobster though but on that scale.

Just getting a cup of bay shrimp and wandering around with it and a beer will give you all the atmosphere you need at Fisherman's Wharf or Sausalito for that matter.

We had a great long lunch--the house steamed mussels and bread, with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc---at Plouf. would definitely go back. Funky and tasty.

For crab in SF other than the wharf try: Swan's, The Zuni,Crustacean on Polk, Than Long in the Avenues.
