There are many wonderful accomodations listed in previous threads if you do a search -- too numerous to list -- BUT since Santa Rosa has been mentioned I want to warn you away from actually staying in Santa Rosa proper while visiting the wine country. It's too big a city without the charm of, say, downtown Sonoma.
