Do a search on san francisco and you'll get many responses than include references to both. They are Ghiradelli Square is a square. Fisherman's Wharf is an area of piers filled with restaurants and tourist shops, etc. Sort of general areas of town. Other areas you'll hear are North Beach, Soma (south of market st) Union Square, Noe Valley, etc.

Try looking for SFGate and then on to wherever you're looking for in SF.

Ghiradelli Square is also a shopping area with restaurants, shops, etc. and of course you can buy Ghiradelli chocolate there.

Naaah...don't buy the chocolates at Ghiradelli square. Get 'em at any supermarket (or Price club/Costco). they're much cheaper there.
Besides...the stuff isn't really made in San Francisco (in the East Bay, I think). Hershey's tastes much, much better.

Ditto on the chocolate - it's actually made in San Leandro (near Oakland). I bought a Ghiradelli Christmas arrangement from Costco for exactly half of what it cost at the shop in Ghiradelli Square.
