San Francisco - Titanic exhibit
My daughter is bugging me to take her to this exhibit but I want to make sure it's great before I pay for air tickets and possibly a hotel (we live in San Diego). Has anyone been?

I went this summer and thought it was well worth the $20 entry fee.
Would I travel 500 miles and pay $500 to see it...Not a chance!
Tell your daughter that Leonardo is not at the exhibit...that might squash her excitement.

I saw the Titanic exhibit the first time it was here in Las Vegas at the Rio. For an avid Titanic-fanatic (like me) it was an awesome thing for sure. I wanted to go again when it came to the Tropicana this year but never got around to it. If your daughter is fascinated by the Titanic she will love the exhibit.
As far as going all the way to SFO from San Diego - make a weekend of it and then you won't feel like you've splurged so much on the exhibit. There are lots of other things to do in SFO to make it worth the trip - things like Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, Ghirardelli to name just a few. Not to mention some bonding time with your daughter that is always priceless. I'd say to go for it and have a great time with your daughter.

I'm with Bashful, and agree with making a weekend out of it. My husband and I did that recently in San Francisco. Okay, we were only coming from San Jose, LOL. We started with a party on Friday night, and added a convention, a bluegrass festival, the Blue Angels and two other concerts. We threw in some dining, shopping and a lot of walking.
