San Diego (Mission Valley) - what's your favorite on tap?

I fly out next Tuesday 9/25 for San Diego, staying at Hampton Inn (on Kearney Mesa) for three days. I like the Yard House a lot but I won’t have a car, sooo I’ll be happy if there’s something similar within walking distance. I really like Arrogant Bastard and Lost Coast ales and looking for a place that serves that type of variety. Is there any other “new” good drafts out there I should try? I also want to buy some and bring it back with me. Thanks so much.

Are you looking for places in Mission Valley or Kearny Mesa? They're not the same place and you'll need either a car or a cab to get to Mission Valley from your hotel.

the address is 5434 Kearney Mesa Rd. It looks like the nearest cross street is Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Now, I'm not sure if it's in Mission Valley. One website (sidestep.com) when I clicked on Mission Valley showed the 5434 Kearney Mesa Rd., but the Hampton Inn's website says it's in the heart of San Diego(???)

Cab is fine, as long as it's close the the hotel.

kauia_aka, I live in San Diego. Your hotel is not in Mission Valley. I know where the hotel is, in a business district, next to the freeway. It will be a five to ten minute cab ride to Mission Valley depending on where you go. You may as well go all the way downtown to the Yard House.
