Las Posadas is on the Riverwalk at Christmas time. It is very, very pretty! The Riverwalk is all lit up at night and there are carolers. It is a lot of fun to stay on the Riverwalk, especially that time of year!

Most of the big resorts, like the Westin La Cantera, are all out on the edge of town. Westin does have an indoor pool.

In the downtown area, most hotels have outdoor pools. A couple with indoor pools are:
Fairfield Inn on Santa Rosa
Hyatt Regency on Losoya (nicer, better location)
The Hyatt Hill Country Resort is northwest of town but is quite a great place. If you have a car you can drive into town to see the beautifully lit Riverwalk.

The Riverwalk is beautiful lit up for Christmas but is very crowded. A couple of years ago we were there Dec. 26-29. The Riverwalk was packed every time we were there. There is also a college bowl game in the week after Christmas, so book your hotel early.

Christie and Seamus:
We spent several days at the Westin La Cantera two summer ago and it most definitely did not have an indoor pool. We also looked at the Hyatt Hill Country and it didn't have an indoor pool either.

You may have better luck with one of the hotels on the Riverwalk. You can check their websites to see about the pool.

We are also taking our 16 year old to San Antonio for Xmas. Several hotels on the Riverwalk were already booked for new years but we got the Holiday Inn Riverwalk. I emailed them and they wrote back that the heated pool is open unless it's raining or otherwise bad weather. Maybe it's too cold for me, but not for kids.
