Sammygrll talk to me about Kona***
I saw your responsed to the Hawaii 411 ? and I thought you might be able to help me out. I'm heading to the BI at the end of June for our second visit. Love it there! We stayed in Waikoloa last time and are planning on staying in Kona this time. I'm thinking of trying a condo on Ali'i drive. Do you have any opinions on the best location in Kona for condo rentals? We're trying to spend under $150 per night and would stay in a hotel if we can find one that's nice and in our price range. Thanks sooooo much!

Sorry to jump in since I'm not Sammygrll, we stayed in Feb south of Kona at the Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort partial ocean view room for $169/night with breakfast. Not as fancy as the Waikoloa but we enjoyed the place. Not sure of rates in June.

We have stayed many times at the Kona Reef on Ali'i. We like the location because you can walk into town from there. They all have washers and dryers and a full kitchen. There is a small sand beach right next door. All of the units are individually owned, so they very in amenities.
