Hi Kodi, I just got home. LindaL and Faina just dropped me off. I waddled in my front door, lol. Fish and chips will do that! Plus two lovely glasses of wine.
It was a wonderful GTG! The Pyramid Alehouse was the perfect spot. We had a lovely private room with windows on two sides overlooking the streets and the Cathedral of Sacramento across the street. Watching a wedding couple having their photos and videos taken after their wedding, with the State Capitol building in the background was precious.
Good group..there always is at ever Fodor's GTG I have attended. Lots of photos were taken. Fun and interesting conversations of course.
I found the waitstaff at the restaurant to be so pleasant and they sure gave us good service.
A beautiful day too..spring like and perfect.
A big personal thank you to lovely janisj for setting up this GTG. It was truly a fun afternoon!

It was a really lovely GTG - the Pyramid treated us great. As LoveItaly said - we got our own room and w/ all the windows it almost felt like we were sitting outside. And our waitress was just a doll, and she didn't have to resort to a whip to keep us in line
Katie came through w/ Fodors goodies that were really appreciated.

Katie, thank you very much for the goodies! And Linda for the rides and great conversations!
I think, after this GTG Janis should be our designated organizer
The choice was perfect. It was nice to see the old friends, and to make new ones.
And I didn't kick anybody
We really need those GTGs to meet each other in person. Some people hesitate to come, I encourage you all not to worry about anything, it's just a meal shared by people with the same interest.

Don't forget the two weddings across the street. We had front row seats for the bridal photos!! I mean how lucky were we? So much fun meeting everyone and staying in a room for 3 hours doing nothing but eating, drinking and talking. Why, it was almost like I was on vacation!! Thanks Katie for the wonderful gifts. Let's do it again Janis!!

And thank you LindaL for the ride home, along with many thank to Paula for the ride to the GTG.
The weddings were fun to see! Our private room with two walls of windows gave us a great view of the Cathedral of Sacramento and the celebrations going on in the Cathedral. As Kal said, no doubt the wedding photos and videos will show some of us in the window of our room with our noses pressed against the windows watching the wedding photos and videos being taken of the bridal party, lol. Other than that we were pretty well behaved!

With Kal's permission, of course, here is the link to his web page!

As I was there, I can honestly say: can't understand how he'd managed to get all the glasses with no food around - and EMPTY glasses at that!
But you better believe he was generously paid

Trying to explain the pure joy she gets every day from a life with me.
No offense, Kal, but I'm still getting a chuckle out of that line!
Looks like a wild and crazy group! I sure wish we could have had a simulcast online, or whatever, with our Austin/San Antonio GTG. The people at our restaurant already thought we were loud and crazy enough. Just think what may have occurred with a camera and microphone!!

"Kal" sent me pics too even though I wasnt there and dont live in Sacramento ( my daughter does so I am there frequently)
It was fun to see pics of all of you and put a face with a name
Maybe one of these days I will be there for a GTG
I met Kal and Mrs. Kal shortly after my daughter moved to Sac - he even offered to help her move

How much the therapy will cost me?
