Roosevelt Hotel in NYC 45 E 45th

Does anyone know anything about this property. It is not rated on this site or in the book. I got a rate of 119 for all 4 nights we will be there. How is the location? Thanks

The Roosevelt is a nice, older hotel that was recently renovated from top to bottom. It has a lovely lobby and ballrooms, but I don't know if you'll take advantage of those! It is very close to Grand Central, which puts it near easy access to buses to the major airports and to many subway lines. There are many restaurants nearby (including some nice ones in and around Grand Central), plus shopping on Fifth Avenue (head north), the NY Public Library, etc. It's a quick cab or subway ride to lower Park Ave (14th to upper 20's) where there are lots of trendy bars and restaurants -- one of our favorites is Les Halles, a french steakhouse around 28th and Park. That's a great rate for the Roosevelt. Enjoy your visit!

That's a good rate, and the hotel's in a very convenient location--the theater district, Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Center, plus a lot more sites are within walking distance.

Stayed there last spring and it was great. clean, large (by NY standards) room, nice staff, great location. beautiful lobby, I should get a commission from the hotel since I've recommended it so much since staying there. It was recommended to me on this site and that is how we selected it. Thanks and have a great trip

That's a great price for a very nice hotel. Even the Government rate was $175 per night the last time I stayed there. There's a great little deli next door with a buffet and dining room, unique sandwich place across the street (Oasi?), and great food and desserts at Grand Central Station across the street. It's a great place to stay!
