romantic weekend in San Diego

hello everyone..i'll be traveling to LA for business on the first week of june, and will stay there through the weekend. i want to take my fiance to San Diego for the weekend. Never been to the west cost. Can anyone suggest a nice romantic place to stay, possibly beachfront, and not too far away from parties. thanks

The Coronado Hotel would be a very romantic setting for a weekend. The Gaslamp District is a very popular place to hang out for entertainment and restaurants.

Another option is to opt for a weekend in Laguna Beach as opposed to going all the way down to San Diego from LA.

Visited the Gaslamp district last May, had the best time! Great places to eat right on the street so you can people watch. It was a hoot!

The Hotel Del Coronado (known as the Hotel Del) would be a great choice. And I also agree with spending time in the Gaslamp District.

I agree with Hotel Del. I went there last May. Our first room was in the original hotel, but then we asked to be moved to the towers. It was incredible. We were on the fourth floor right on the beach. We kepy our balcony door open the entire weekend and listened to the ocean. The view was outstanding.

Don't forget the Mustang convertible. We got one in SD last month and it was very reasonable through AVIS.
