Have you considered Historic Darien GA. One hour fron either Sav. or JAX airports. Darien has three B&B's with rates avergaing 95-140/night AND Great restaurants serving fresh local seafood. The area is full of historic sites and eco centered outdoor activities. October and November are great times to visit Darien/McIntosh County and beautiful Sapelo Island.

I second St. Augustine. My husband and I stayed at Carriage Way B&B and loved it. It is incredibly romantic and comfortable and the breakfasts and hospitality were amazing. Everything is walkable...we were there for three days and never moved our car. Rooms are under $200 and it is an easy drive from Orlando.
