i don't know much about the "soft" type of jazz....however, Sam Rivers plays the Sapphire (downtown) on Wed. nights. i would not call the Sapphire romantic in any way,...its basically a bar. but then again I haven't been there in a looooooong time. also, this could all change by December. check this website....

Downtown Orlando might offer the combination you are looking for. Manuel's is a great restaraunt on the top floor of one of the downtown buildings, then there are lots of clubs in the downtown area (where the Sapphire is), but i don't go down there much so I don't know what to recommend.
If you want to stay closer to your hotel, the above mentioned Arthur's is very good. Also, i have heard great things about Victoria and Alberts at the Grand Floridian (WDW).
hope this helps!

We got a tip from the internet a couple of years ago--and we enjoyed it. Make a reservation at 8:00 for dinner at the restaurant in France in EPCOT. When you get there, ask for a window table and wait until one is available. When the light show starts, they open the restaurant windows and you watch the show while you are eating. It was magic!
Maybe there are more intimate, romantic dinners, but this was special!

Manuels in downtown Orlando is the way to go. Very romantic, large windows overlooking the city. Do whatever is necessary to get a guarnteed window seat and go for the sunset. Enjoy.
Here's a link as well.

I agree w/ Nan's suggestion of
Bistro de Paris in the France
Pavillion of Epcot. It is upstairs and
out of the main stream of visitors.
Wonderful food, service and view. We
discovered it in Fodor's Orlando
restaurant guide and eat there every
year on our Disney trip.
