There's that dang echo again. And confirmed with my sister where her friend lives - and the road leading up the hill from Sutter Creek has a number of signs for B & B places - so just google away to find one of those if it fits your preferences.

Near Plymouth is Deaver Vineyards. They also have an inn called the Amador Harvest Inn and own the Amador Flower Farm. All very close and nice place to base.
