Just a short note here: You couldn't be more correct about the INCONSISTENCIES of the Hyatt Regencies around the U.S.! They are also perpetuating a FRAUD among the paying public by stating in certain literature that some of their hotels are Hyatt Regencies when they quite clearly are NOT and were NOT built as such! One specific case in point is the absolutely ABYSMAL so-called Hyatt Regency at the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport which, in reality, is simply an old, DUMPY Hyatt (with ONLY the "Hyatt" name on the side of the building) that they apparently renamed a "Regency!" What GALL! If you can, AVOID this horrendous hotel at all costs and take a cab to the Four Seasons instead, about a 15-minute cab ride away! However, in all fairness, two of the NICEST Hyatt Regencies I have ever stayed in have been two in Hawaii: The Hyatt Regencies on the islands of Kauai and Oahu respectively! Wonderful properties!
