RIP Judy Rogers

The owner and chef of one my favorite places, the Zuni Cafe in San Francisco has died. Influential doesn't even begin to describe her contributions.
It is a very sad day.
I may go up and have roasted chicken in her honor this weekend.

I have not heard of her but have heard of the restaurant. I imagine many people will have the same idea.

One of our must eat at places whenever we are in SF. Sad, so young.

We have the Zuni cookbook and it is not for slouches! Really delicious recipes, but not for the novice cook. Her section on cheese courses was a revelation to me.

How very sad. I love to go to Zuni on a late Sunday or Saturday afternoon, have a drink, a Caesar salad, maybe the chicken...so relaxing!
