Restaurants on Ohau and Hawaii

Three of us are travelling to Hawaii soon and we will all be having our birthdays over there 2xOahu and 1xHawaii. Does anyone have any suggestions about where we should eat at to celebrate these events. They don't have to be cheap or expensive just memorable.

Rod,
Don't know Oahu, but my votes for the Big Island would be 1) Canoe House at Mauni Lani Bay (very expensive, but great atmosphere); 2) Huggo's in Kailua-Kona (fun, moderately priced, amazing view); or 3) Haven't done this personally, but I know that Sea Smoke out of the Royal Waikoloan Hotel charters boats for special occasions which seems like an amazing idea to me. Have a great time and Happy Birthday!

Aloha from Hawaii!

Well...if you have never been to Hawaii before...I would suggest doing your birthday at a luau. They pick you up...they take you for a fabulous Oahu sunset dinner and entertainemt and return you safely to your hotel. The same goes for dinner cruises! Otherwise...if you're looking for a special place on Oahu, for food I would suggest A Pacific Cafe in Ward Centre or for dining and jazz and local entertainment, David Pauls at Diamond Head. If it's just fine food and atmosphere, then sunset dinner at the Halekulani is the place.

AS for the Big Island, I would suggest Sam Choy's at the Keauhou Beach. they just opened and Sam Choy's is very popular these days. For Big Island scenery, you may want to lunch at Volcano House or dine seaside at the Maunalani or Mauna Kea Beach. The KOna Village Luau is also a unique way to celebrate a birthday!
A hui hou!

I agree about Haleulani.
Le Mer is a 5 star French restaurant.
I think they have a place called the Orchid, and they have an open air place called House without a Key.
They are right on the beach, and the restaurants overlook it. The service is out of this world -- ranked top 10 by most magazines. Happy Birthday!
