Restaurants in San Francisco
My husband and I are staying a weekend in San Francisco. First, could you recommend any interesting restaurants also with excellent food? We are open to all kinds of cuisine. Second, which are the most restaurants in the city?

There are tons of excellent restaurants in San Francisco. Go to sfgate.com and check out their restaurant reviews. When I was there in August, we had a great dinner at Boulevard, looking out at the Bay Bridge and a wonderful time at a Venetian restaurant in North Beach whose name escapes me at the moment. Have also enjoyed LuLu's and Orientalia. Just pick your cuisine and location and enjoy.

For lunch in North Beach, visit L'osteria del forno. Just thinking about it brings back the most incredible aromas. The Helmand has cuisine from Afganistan and provides a good modestly priced dinner (430 Broadway). Do an early (say 11:30) lunch at Yank Sing in the business district for dim sum. The place fills up very quickly once noon hits, and you'll be happy you got there early!

My husband and I were in San Fran in August. We tried residential neighborhoods, where the restaurants were small but excellent! Two of our favorites were on Hyde Street--the cable car goes right past them! For good, homemade Italian food, try i Fratelli; and for fresh, delicious sushi and interesting sushi chefs, try Grandeho's Kamekyo. Also, be sure to go to the Mark Hopkins Inter-Continental Hotel top floor, to the Top of the Mark restaurant for a spectacular 360 degree view of San Francisco! It's breathtaking!
We loved San Fran so much, we're going back next summer! And we're from the East Coast! Have fun!
