Hi Jennifer,
First and foremost (for your sake) the locals absolutely cringe and San Francisco being called Frisco. It just isn't done, and some can be quite rude about telling you so.
With that said, do you have a price range in mind for dinner or a style? San Francisco has many great restaurants ranging from seafood to dim sum to California style.
My personal favorite - as a place that you can always count on a good meal - is Boulevards. It is down on the Embarcadero, and it's warm with California food. High-priced really good seafood is at Aqua on Sacramento. North Beach has any number of better priced Italian restaurants.
Give some idea what you're looking for, and I'm sure you'll get some great suggestions.

If it is Frisco, Co. then there is a great italian place in the same building with Christie Sports-I am blanking on the name at the moment. If you want to splurge one night, go to the top of Keystone Mountain to the restaurant there. Depending on the time of year, they have a sleigh ride over to the restaurant once you get to the top.

HI Jennifer. Frisco Colorado is a great little town. One of our favorites is the Blue Spruce on Main st. If your on a budget eat in the Bar. Lots of locals, please do not tell anyone else!
Uptown on Main used to be good but lately its been dirty with rude staff.
The Silverheels is good although I think it is overpriced, again better to have Tapas in the bar.
If you have a car, in Dillon CO the Old Dillon Inn is fun. For a elegant meal try the Ski Tip Lodge in Keystone. IMHO the BEST resturant in Summit County.

Hi Jennifer - I live in the City by the Bay! Here are some of my favorites:
Boulevard - go for lunch - 4 star for about $30.00
LuLu's - on Folsom - great big open room with rotissorie hearth. Fun and young. Lunch is a deal - about $25.00
Tadich Grill - Don't miss this seafood restaurant in the financial district, near the Embarcadero - down the street from Aqua which is very very very expensive! Anyhow Tadich is my absolute favorite for really good reasonable food . sit at the counter.
My favorite North Beach Restaurant is Tratoria Volare on Columbus. Homemade Pasta.
Have a Great Time!
Have Dim Sum at Yank Sing on Battery St for about $20.00

Oh Yeah:
MacArthur Park - also near the Embarcadero has wonderful California Cousine.
For some cheap local eats try: Any of the Taquerias in the Mission - my favorite is on 17th and Valencia - El Toro? There's a good one on every corner of the Mission.
Be sure to have a drink at Harry Denton's Starlight Room at the top of the Sir Frances Drake Hotel right behind Saks Fifth Ave on Union Square.
If you are there on Saturday be sure to go to the Farmer's Market at the waterfront - Embarcadero and Green St. You can eat their too!
Check out Chestnut Street and the Marina Green where you can walk to the Golden Gate Bridge.
I lived for years on Irving St in the Inner Sunset and this is a great neighborhood to walk around in and eat! Try Park Chow on 9th avenue near the Park for a great meal at reasonable prices.
The Castro is also a great neighborhood to check out.
Have fun
