Restaurant recommendations in Raleigh,NC
Will be there for 4 days at the end of April for business trip with gang of co-workers. We will be staying near the Crabtree Mall. Looking for good places to have breakfast, lunch, dinner. Preferably a place that could accommodate 6-8 people. We will be on expense amount, so price is not an issue, but want good food for reasonable prices. Of course, a contingent of the younger people will want a decent bar and/or happy hour. The local foods are reputed to be Southern cooking (fried chicken, grits, etc) and BBQ - sounds pretty good. The one caveat is that the place has to take credit cards, no cash. Thanks in advance for help!

I would recommend 18 Seaboard(local food and bar),Winston's Grille(great breakfast),The Angus Barn(excellent steaks),Jibarra Modern Mexican(my favorite mexican rest.)
All of these are really good restaurants and some of my favorites and must eat at's while in the area. Raleigh is a nice town and safe. Have fun on your trip

I've never been, but this place is the child of a friend's daughter and I (naturally!) hear great things, so thought I would mention.
For anyone that's been, what were your impressions?

The hotel was near a mall and the business people I was with didn't want to venture into "unknown" territory. We ate at Cheesecake Factory, Brio, Panera Bread. Those aren't places I would have chosen on my own. The night they ventured to Angus Barn, I couldn't go, although the report was the steaks were good and huge.
