Resort advice

My husband and I (63) are looking to get away for the week of Easter (bad timing, we know). We live in Minnesota and want to go somewhere fairly warm in the US. Basically we want a resort where we could read, walk, relax and maybe golf. Does anyone have a place they like to frequent?

Not sure if this might appeal, but we spent a couple of days here last year around that time: http://www.laquintaresort.com/

It's a lovely resort (not the budget hotel chain by the same name).

It looks great but we've been to PS many times and would like another area. California not out of the question tho.

Well, there's plenty here in Florida where I live, but since I tend to vacation out of state, I cannot recommend any specifically. It is high season for such warm climes - do you have a price range?

How about the Enchantment Resort in Sedona?

Hiking, golfing, great spa, beautiful area.

By Easter even Minnesota will have warmed up.
If Palm Springs is out of your reach, Check out the Bandon Dunes Resort on the Oregon coast. (Google it)
I'm not a golfer but I've heard good things about Bandon.
There are four good courses along with the great resort.
By the time you have played all four courses you will have had enough walking. You can read and relax pretty much anywhere.

http://www.thebuccaneer.com

The Buccaneer is great, on St Croix, USVI. Click on my name for a couple of threads that talk about why we chose it, and why we liked it so much.

Thanks for the input. Yes, a beach would be nice, but not mandatory. The Buccaneer is a possibility. I've heard good things. I'm still open to other ideas.

Here's a nice place on the beach Florida east coast. It's close enough for a nice day trip to St. Augustine.

In Orlando here is a nice resort that has both a JW Marriott and a Ritz Carlton with great golf course, pools, spa, etc.

The Omni Grove Park inn would be a great place, it has spa, gulf, trails, restaurants you dont have to leave the resort. It is in Asheville NC, by easter it would be great weather!

Loved, loved, loved how Taylor Swift put Kanye's untalented A$$ in it's rightful place.

And unlike Kanye she did it with class!

Do you count Hawaii as being "in the U.S."?

Thanks for all of your help! After much debate, we've decided to totally change plans and go to Bermuda. It seems to have everything we love, although somewhat pricey. It's our 40th anniversary gift to ourselves!

Temps in Bermuda at Easter can be unpredictable. Could be cool, could be hot. A beautiful island that will regardless chase those MN winter blues away. Just the scent of the flora and fresh cut grass makes me swoon.
