Wow. The editors didn't like that comment, either.

Thank you for the courtesy of a response. I can see how a zoo or a tram might be visually stimulating for an infant.

I meant no disrespect about the poopy pool diapers. Just saw it as a gentle reminder moment for all that it happens more then one would think. The board of health rules require the pool to be shut down and treated. I've had it happen to me twice. Once on Long Island Beach NJ which was horrifying and once on Kauai, which was funny when we came back to the resort and found the pool taped of with caution tape. The groundskeeper or security guard simply told my husband, "someone took a dump in the pool"

OMG Tabernasty, you just can't help yourself. Dramatic enough?

As far as your first smack down, "Wow. Really off-base response, inababy. The OP did not over-emphasize the kids." Umm yes they mentioned it in the title of the thread and in the original post. So please define "off-base"

And by the way, anyone who has cared for infants and toddlers knows that fresh diapers have an undetermined shelf life. But lots of parents don't realize their are diaper/swimgear choices to prevent a pool from shutting down.

Again sf, I never meant to insinuate that you or your family would not be responsible parents in public areas. I apologize if you took it that way.

It is really helpful when posters TELL US all those places they have BEEN and do not wish to go AGAIN before asking for suggestions.

Is that so hard to do?

Just get swim diapers. We use them all the time.*

Kids in a pool and poop is not a common occurance and it can also come from elderly people too. Our adults only lap poop was closed down twice in one week due to poop accidents from apparently an adult.

*These disposable swim diapers are absolutely perfect for pool time or when you are heading to the beach. The absorbent material won't swell up in the water like regular diapers, and the double leg cuffs provide protection against leaks. With our fun Sesame Street designs, your little baby can splash happy without you always having to worry about a soggy diaper.

I just recently read a report that confirmed that swim diapers do absolutely nothing to keep fecal bacteria out of a pool. I think someone compared it to putting poop into a tea bag.
