Where do you want to go in Florida? What state/country is your drivers license from? Can your driving record be checked by someone who would rent you a car?
Car dealers sometimes have "loaner cars" for their customers who have a car in the shop for repairs. Are you landing at the airport or coming in by train or bus?
If you have a US drivers license, use Hotwire to get the best price. If foreign you will have to use a site that will include insurances that you need to drive in the US.

Although I can't remember if we've done it in Miami, in multiple other locations, we've gotten good prices on car rentals bidding on Priceline.

@PatriciaBricerno There is no such thing as a "loaner car" unless you are having your own personal vehicle repaired. You're barking up the wrong tree here, and I don't know where you got this idea from. @tomfuller did not say that a loaner was an option for you. Indeed it is not.

You have not answered any of our questions.
Do you own a car of your own? What is the status of your auto insurance?
Miami has some public transport. How are you getting there?
