Reno Blackjack

My last post got deleted, so I will try again. Just curious which hotel has the most low-limit blackjack tables. Am looking at the sands right now, want to be in the downtown area. Haven't been there before but heard there are also casinos that aren't hotels, do any of those have dollar or two blackjack tables?

Try the Calneva or the Nevada Club (not a hotel). When I was there four years ago, they had dollar tables at both of these. These are in walking distance from the Sands, which is two or three blocks from the other hotels. Good luck.

There are many small casinos all within walking distance in downtown. I'm sure the store front casinos have some very low limits. Just as an aside, the hotel rates are dirt cheap. We stayed a Harrah's for $30 a day. We got it through Travelocity. At these rates, I don't know why anyone stays at a motel.

The CalNeva is a good choice. The Nevada Club was a long time favorite for locals but it closed a few years ago and has been demolished along with Harold's Club.

Dear Renoguy.

One very strong word of warning regarding low-limit tables: If you are any good at all------AVOID these tables. Players at these tables are new, poor players or just plain dumb. Players at these tables take your card, take the dealers card, split face cards, double down on 3s, etc.

Stay away!
