Redington Beach, FL
We are going to Redington Beach in a couple of weeks and plan to stay at the Hilton. We are wondering about good places to eat, sailboat rentals, and good golf courses nearby. Also, if anyone has ever stayed at the Hilton and would like to give their opinion I would truly appreciate it.

My recommendations are:
Wine Cellar - pricey, but excellent
Lobster Pot - ditto
Guppy's - casual Florida dining
I have not stayed at the hotel, but we had dinner there several times several years ago. They have a great outside bar and a each evening a Sunset Salute is given.
Hope this helps.

The mention of Redington Beach brings back memories - my grandparents wintered there in a rental unit for many years. My aunt liked the area so much that she eventually settled in the Holmes beach area down the road in Anna Maria Island. It's nice to hear that Redington appears to have maintained its character and atmosphere.

my wife and i have just returned from vacationing in clearwater (right above red. beach. we stayed at the radisson suites resort. very, very nice. every room faces the intercoastal waterway. not too expensive. restaurants - make sure you go to Guppy's, then go to the Salt Rock Grill (try the tuna - just like eating steak), also Keegan's. if you feel like going into tampa, try the Columbia restaurant in ybor city. inquire about the Flamenco dancing during dinner. don't know anything about sailing/golfing - sorry.
