Rec's for Restaurants in Mendocino?

Anyone have any? My husband and I will be in Mendocino for 3 nights for our 2cnd anniversary. We're staying in town but are happy to drive for good food. We'd like one fancy/romantic meal, but are not picky about the other two. We like all kinds of food. Thanks!!!

Cafe Beaujolais for your romantic anniversary meal. Reservations a must. Blue Heron Inn for a nice but not really fancy meal. Numerous bakeries in Mendocino town for snacks and lunches. If you are returning home via the Anderson Valley and Route 128, stop by the Boonville Hotel for dinner - especially if it's a nice evening. You can dine on the garden deck and be visited by the hotel cat! Good (local) wine list - I mean, it's the Anderson Valley after all.

We loved the Moosse Cafe. Great food. Also had great vegetarian meal at Stanford Inn...fabulous service and ambience. We also enjoyed an incredible meal at Stevenswood Lodge. We met a chef who also does tril rides at Ricochet Ranch- her favorite place is MacCallum House. Where are you staying? We were there in April and are returning in November. Just can't stay away!

Stevenswood is excellent though it is the most expensive place in the area, if budget is an important consideration. The Albion River Inn is also very good (Stevenswood is about 2 miles south of Mendocino Village and Albion is about 5 miles). If you go to the Albion, stop for a drink at the Heritage House bar on the way--about a mile before the Albion--as it has incredible views!

My wife and I enjoyed our recent weekend at Stevenswood Lodge.

The new owners, Michael & Seth have a winning combination of European style, rugged sophistication and personal attentiveness.

The Lodge is nestled between Redwood Trees, Ocean Meadow and scuplted floral and fauna gardens.

Our trip was flawless. The private hot tub was soothing along the forest ridge, and the breakfast was on par with any 5 star hotel. One of the owners, Michael personally served us our gourmet breakfast. They had 5 or 6 delicious sounding entree choices. My wife had their signature Sheared Eggs, made with local Dunguness Crab, Asparagus and Swiss Cheese. I had melt in your mouth White Chocolate/Macadamia Nut Belgian Waffles.

They have complimentary wireless internet throughout the property and the suites are stocked with long range cordless phones that work anywhere on the resort. They also have speaker phones, color plasma TVs with HBO and wood burning fireplaces.

They have a curtesy Town Car service that drops you anywhere nearby for easy access to the Villge shops and restaurants just two minutes away. The concierge, Nelson was VERY helpful and even arranged for our dinner reservations at Cafe Beajolais with the Town Car waiting for us!

This place is amazing! I have been traveling to the Mendocino Coast for over 20 years and my only regret is that we didn't discover Stevenswood Lodge sooner!

YOU MUST DINE AT THEIR RESTAURANT! It is the best food I've ever had in my life! Their executive chef, Mark Dymm, is a magician..! The steak was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. My wife had salmon that was so good I had several bites and I usually hate seafood. They have the highest Zagat rating of any restaurant North of the bay area and now I know why.

The other properties in the area are nice, some are even great...But not one compares to the quality and sophistication of Stevenswood. It is comparable to any 4 or 5 star resort anywhere.
