Really short connection time in Detroit - what if I miss the flight?

I agree with the other posters - 32 minutes is cutting it way too close for a last flight of the day. I had an hour once, and missed the connection before I ever left the first airport. Last flight of the day, next one was 14 hours away and it was too far to drive. Now, I always make sure there is a least one more flight after the one I'm booking, just in case.
P.S. When I called United, they said 1 hour was plenty of time to get from the International terminal to the Domestic terminal at O'Hare. And, when I got to O'Hare, I was told not to worry because the plane wouldn't leave without me - they had several different flights connecting to this one and they hadn't all arrived yet.

I called the airline and asked about it and at first they said that 32 minutes was enough and I explained about the terminal change and said that I didn't think so. Bottom line was that they said that the schedule would probably be changed when it got closer (flight is in February) becasue they wouldn't want to have to deal with a bunch of people missing the connection. I decided that I didn't want to deal with the hassle of a missed flight and rebooked the earlier flight.
