Yes don't know if that will change in a year purchased my summer vacation tickets online. If you watch this board many people are becomming Orbitz regulars. Thing is these things change you watch Orbitz will earn a following and then raise prices and then some other discount house will have the goods. For now GO FOR IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO BID.
Always check that airline is not offering the ticket at the same or lower price. Reason being you can cut out that processing fee they charge you. Also Orbitz is runned by major airlines so sometimes not all times but some times you can get the price from airlines directly.
Also want to make sure that Orbitz uses all of the carriers you are interested in.

FYI for what it is worth AA rep told me paper tickets reimbursement only matters if you are on a full fare ticket. In every other scenario if you need to switch to other carrier if your connection has failed you are responsible for last minute remainer of balance. You know last minute purchases are frequently 1000+ for domestic destinations alone. If you ticket was 300 but a last minute ticket is 1300 you pay difference

I agree with the others -- Orbitz is easy to use and usually has the best prices. I used them in Feb for air, hotel and car. NO problems and great prices. I wasn't charged a service fee either, although it was posted. When I got to the screen to submit credit card -- service fee disappeared. I will definitely use them again.

Thank your all for your replies!!! After I saw the Orbitz price I went to AA directly and the tickets were the same price so I just went ahead and booked them through AA. But, now I know, next time Orbitz has what I am looking for I will be fine to use them. Thanks Again..

Travelocity, Expedia, Orbitz and individual airline sites can all have different fares and I find there is no consistent winner. Today I booked a ticket Boston to Seattle on Travelocity for a family member - they had the lowest fare. But 2 days ago when I checked, Expedia was lower. It is a big mystery, so shop around. I have bought tickets any of the 4 ways and , as said above, a seat is a seat - shop for price.

I used them to book a Los Angeles to NYC fare last October, then had to change my plans. They did charge a fee (which was upfront on the website) and I was able to rebook the same flights for April, using my existing credit from the cancelled flights. Everytime I called the wait was minimal. I would definatly book with them again, if they had a similar low fare.
