Questions for a weekend in Moab

Hello,
We are thinking of taking a roadtrip to Moab for the upcoming holiday weekend from Colorado. I was wondering if the hiking trails in Arches have a lot of snow on them and how the weather is right now. I looked at the early forecast and it said mid-40s with possible rain/snow showers. Also, are there any points of interest on the way? We'll have our baby with us and will want to break up the drive. For lodging, we are looking at the Best Western Canyonlands or the Red Cliffs Lodge. I like the scenery at Red Cliffs but the central location of the BW sounds appealing. What do you think? Also, any other advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

We really liked Red Cliffs Lodge, but we were there in the summer. How old is the baby? If the baby crawls or walks, you will have to be careful because the rooms are split level with stairs and, if I remember correctly, tile floors.

I live in SW Colorado, about 90 minutes SE of Moab.

The weather right now is miserable here cold and snowy. Not sure wht is going on in Moab but.. IMHO, I would not go to Moab this weekend, especially with a baby. I can't imagine the weather will be very pleasant and I can't imagine risking hiking in winter with a baby.

Good luck if you decide to go.

Thank you so much for your advice. This is exactly what I was looking for. It may be back to square one for a little getaway this weekend. Anyone else? Thank you!
