Pubs/Clubs/Nightlife

Hi all. Bunch of guys have decided to skip Spain this year and head off to Florida - our main concern is the concentration / proximity of bars/clubs. Where in Florida has the best nightlife? Obviously we will hire a car(s) but is there anywhere where we can hire a villa and simply walk to an area where we can stumble from bar to bar - then club?! Cheers...Jack...

Head to the South Beach area of Miami especially if you and your friends are (relatively) young and good looking.

Obviously I don't know your ages or what you're looking for, but Panama City Beach on the Panhandle offers some huge Spring Break MTV clubs on the beach very close to numerous hotels and condos. Check out www.lavela.com and www.spinnakerbeachclub.com for more info.

SoBe is great but expensive -- a high-end atmosphere with many many high-end clubs. (Another consideration is the timing -- SoBe is dead in the summer, the "low" season, while the Panhandle enjoys its high season from May-Sept.)

Jack, I think the place you want in Key West. Sunshine, bars every 15 feet. You don't even need a car. There are a bunch of B&Bs or cottages you can rent within easy walking distance of Duval Street.
