Public Transportation To Ferry Building in SF

We are staying on Sutter Street and would like to visit the Ferry Building and wondering what public transportation is best and easiest to get there.

Where on Sutter? It's a couple of miles from end to end.

I like to use maps.google.com for finding out public transportation options. There are various buses that run along California St. or Geary.

If you're staying "downtown" on Sutter Street, then it's an easy walk to the Ferry Building, maybe 10-15 minutes (from the intersection of Sutter and Kearny, it's .7 miles).
