public restrooms at the beach for daytrips?

My husband will be taking the kids to the beach for the day ( from Phila ) and wants a beach with public restroom facilities available. Any suggestions? He was thinking of Atlantic City due to close proximity but is it not a place you would take your kids?

Repost with "Jersey Shore" or "Rehoboth Beach" in the subject line or you may get great advice on Pismo Beach, California

I like Island Beach State Park in NJ. Unfortunately, with the NJ budget mess, all NJ state parks will be closed starting Wed 7/5 am. Hopefully the gov and legislature will get it worked out soon.

all of them are filthy. I've been to Rehoboth's public b-room. all have high volume people traffic which means toilet paper, sand and water all over the floor then you go to wash your hands and its the same thing. if you want to use amazingly clean b-rooms go to Trump Plaza or any casino in Atlantic City, NJ.

I was at Bethany Beach, Delaware last month, and the public restrooms were not bad. Of course, it was not during the height of summer, so they might get progressively worse as the season gets busier.

Bethany Beach is a very nice beach for families. If I recall correctly, it is about 2 hours from Philly (?) Again, that was without the summer traffic.

I haven't been to AC in many years, but I don't think of it as a very family friendly place.

From what I have read it sounds like the Casinos will be closed as of tomorrow morning due to the New Jersey budget not getting settled.

I have always found restrooms at beaches always are dirty. It is so difficult when you have little ones.

What about Pt Pleasant (Jenkinsons) at the tiki bar end of the beach? Not too bad for restrooms, I think...
