Priceline--policy about hurricanes??
I checked the weather forecast yesterday for Myrtle Beach; it looked gorgeous, so I went ahead and made a successful hotel bid on Priceline for Friday (9/24) through Wednesday (9/29). I now see that there's a real threat of Jeanne coming to that part of the world early next week. I called Priceline and they told me to call back late today to see if they would make any kind of refund.
I was just wondering if anyone here had any similar success with a Priceline refund in the event of severe inclement weather.

Nah. The Priceline travel insurance is only for sickness/injury, and even at that this is the first time I've ever used Priceline that I didn't choose that option
. I think Priceline has some sort of "act of God" exclusion so I'm hoping for the best. Worse comes to worse, I'll have a front-row seat to view a real live hurricane

I had a ticket to Europe booked for 9/13/01, and I ended up dealing directly with the airline. I originally talked to Priceline about rescheduling, and they then directed me to the airline. Don't know if they have similar policies in place for bad weather.
