Priceline Panic
I have been trying Priceline for a room for Dec 4-7 with no luck. I now think I've left it too late to get a decent, reasonably priced room (3-4*) on the other web sites. Any suggestions please?
What would be the best in terms of location and standard between Thirty thirty, Ramada Plaza New Yorker, Empire and Hampshire Hotel and Suites (all $230-$280)?

You posted this same question earlier today. People responed by telling you to check out quikbook.com. ; they have good rates on NYC hotels. Did you check? If you did, you would have seen MANY hotels that are lower price than the the ones you quoted. In fact, quikbook had lower rates for one of the hotels you listed. so what's up? What about quikbook?

I beg to differ on you info on quikbook. I just checked for YOU using NYC Economy hotels, and came up with 3 hotels with lower rates than you quoted. One of the 3 is Thirty Thrity, @ a rate of $162/nt for a standard rm, and $198 for a superior room. Both rates are lower than yours. Also listed is the Gershwin, at $119/nt.
